2027 Race: Ogundoyin Storms Ibadan PDP Bloc, Sells ‘IGBEGA OYO 3.0’ Agenda

The Speaker of the Oyo State House of Assembly, Adebo Ogundoyin, on Tuesday extended his governorship consultation to Ibadan, meeting with key stakeholders of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) across the five local government areas in the Ibadan metropolis.
The high level engagement, held at the PDP State Secretariat in Oke Ado, brought together party leaders, government officials and grassroots mobilisers from Ibadan North, North-East, North-West, South-East and South-West.
Ogundoyin was accompanied by prominent PDP figures from Ibarapaland, including Peter Ojedokun, Ademola Ojo and other former commissioners and political stakeholders.
Addressing the gathering, Ogundoyin unveiled his policy thrust, “IGBEGA OYO OMITUNTUN 3.0,” which he said is aimed at accelerating socio-economic development, strengthening institutions and promoting inclusive governance in the state.
 He stressed the need to consolidate on the achievements of the current administration led by Seyi Makinde through continuity, innovation and collective responsibility.
The Speaker appealed for the support of party stakeholders, noting that his ambition is driven by service, experience and a track record of leadership.
 In their responses, party leaders commended his consultative approach, describing it as inclusive and strategic. Speaking on behalf of the stakeholders, the PDP Deputy Chairman in Oyo State, Wasiu Adeleke, praised Ogundoyin’s statewide engagements and preparedness, saying his blueprint reflects capacity and readiness for governance.
Other notable figures at the meeting included Nureni Akanbi and Modinat Bose Adedibu, alongside party executives and local government leaders.
