A governorship hopeful on the platform of the African Democratic Congress (ADC), Barrister Niyi Aborisade, has outlined his plans for Oyo State ahead of the 2027 election, pledging to bring about what he described as meaningful and result driven change.

In a statement made available to journalists, Aborisade said his ambition is rooted in a desire to deliver real progress. He stressed that leadership should be based on competence, proper preparation and a clear sense of direction, rather than political backing or endorsements.

He noted that his focus is on practical solutions to the state’s challenges, adding that the people of Oyo deserve leadership that is committed to results and inclusive growth.
According to him, his agenda will prioritise improved public service delivery and growth in critical sectors such as education, healthcare, infrastructure, youth empowerment and economic development.
“Leadership is about making the right choice,” he said. “The people of Oyo State deserve someone who is prepared, experienced and genuinely committed to service. This is beyond personal ambition; it is about making a real difference in people’s lives.”

Aborisade also observed that many residents are yearning for a shift from what he described as ineffective governance, expressing confidence that the state can achieve more with the right leadership in place.

He urged the electorate to support leaders with integrity and the ability to implement policies that will bring tangible benefits, assuring that his administration, if elected, would focus on improving living standards and creating sustainable opportunities, especially for young people and businesses.
