Ogundoyin Takes ‘IGBEGA OYO 3.0’ Campaign to Ogbomoso, Gains Stakeholders’ Backing
The Speaker of the Oyo State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Adebo Ogundoyin, has continued his statewide consultations ahead of the 2027 governorship election, taking his campaign to Ogbomoso where he met with key stakeholders of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and secured strong support for his ambition.

The high-level meeting, held in Ogbomoso, brought together party leaders and members from Ogbomoso North, Ogbomoso South, Oriire, Surulere and Ogo-Oluwa Local Government Areas. The gathering was hosted by the Chairman of the Oyo State PDP Elders Council, Dr. Saka Balogun, alongside other party chieftains in the zone..

Addressing the stakeholders, Ogundoyin expressed appreciation for their continued loyalty to the PDP, noting that his vision for the state is anchored on the principle of “Oyo first, Oyo always.” He described his leadership approach as people-oriented, assuring that policies and programmes under his administration would reflect the needs and aspirations of the citizens, with emphasis on inclusive growth and responsive governance.
A major highlight of the engagement was the presentation of his policy blueprint, IGBEGA OYO Omituntun 3.0 Roadmap, which outlines his plans for economic growth, infrastructural development and social advancement. He said the roadmap is designed to consolidate existing achievements while introducing new initiatives to accelerate development across the state.

In his remarks, Dr. Balogun described the Speaker as a humble and capable administrator, expressing confidence in his leadership capacity. He also recalled the legacy of Ogundoyin’s late father, Chief Adeseun Ogundoyin, whom he described as a seasoned politician, community leader and philanthropist, adding that the Speaker has proven himself as a “round peg in a round hole.”

Earlier, prominent figures from Ibarapaland, including former Commissioner for Information and Culture, Hon. Moses Ojoawo; former member of the House of Representatives, Hon. Yemi Taiwo; and former Commissioner for Environment, Hon. Majekodunmi Aborode, said the visit was part of efforts to foster unity and early consultations within the party ahead of the 2027 elections. They urged stakeholders in Ogbomosoland to support Ogundoyin’s governorship ambition.
