The Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ), Oyo State Council, has celebrated its Patron, Chief (Engr.) Jubril Dotun Sanusi, on his 58th birthday, commending his philanthropy and contributions to human and community development.
The council, in a statement jointly signed by its Chairman, Mr Akeem Abas, and Secretary, Mr Temidayo Adu, on Saturday in Ibadan, described Sanusi as an exceptional leader, accomplished engineer and committed philanthropist whose generosity and humility had continued to impact lives positively.
The NUJ noted that Sanusi, the Okanlomo Oodua and Gbonka Olubadan of Ibadanland, had distinguished himself as a worthy ambassador of the Yoruba race through his support for individuals, institutions and community-based initiatives.
It added that his association with the union as Patron remained a source of encouragement to journalists, particularly at a time when stronger partnerships with individuals and institutions were needed to support the media industry and promote societal development.

The council prayed for renewed strength, sound health, wisdom and many more years of impactful service for the celebrant, expressing confidence that his continued contributions would further advance the development of Ibadanland, Oyo State and Nigeria.
