The All Progressives Congress in Oyo State
has commenced plans for a post primary reconciliation process aimed at uniting all stakeholders ahead of the 2027 general elections, adding that the party remained focused on mobilising support for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and reclaiming the Agodi Government House in 2027.
The party maintained that despite complaints and grievances from some aspirants and stakeholders, no member or leader would be neglected, stressing that many of those expressing concerns remained committed progressives with passion for democracy and good governance.
This was disclosed in a statement issued in Ibadan by the Oyo APC Publicity Secretary, Olawale Sadare, who also commended the conduct of members throughout the exercise and as well praised their peaceful conduct as deserved special recognition, adding that the success recorded in the direct primaries showed the party’s commitment to internal democracy and grassroots participation.
Sadare , in the statement, said Oyo APC members demonstrated dedication and team spirit in the selection of candidates for the House of Assembly, House of Representatives, Senate and governorship positions, while preparations continue for the presidential primary.
He commended its members for what it described as their peaceful and mature conduct during the party’s ongoing primary elections ahead of the 2027 general elections after concluding the fourth batch of its scheduled primaries on Thursday, including the governorship primary which produced a candidate from the eleven aspirants cleared by the party’s national leadership to contest the exercise.
