The National Association of Polytechnic Students (NAPS) has launched the Paytogeda CampusPay platform as part of efforts to strengthen transparency, accountability, and efficiency in student union financial management across Nigeria.
Speaking at the unveiling, the President of the Senate, NAPS, Oyewumi Festus Ayomide, described the initiative as the beginning of a new era in student administration, where financial transactions are digitally tracked and properly accounted for. He noted that the platform would address long-standing concerns over financial opacity and mistrust that have trailed student union leadership in many campuses.
According to him, the CampusPay system is designed not only for the collection of union dues but also as a broader financial solution for students, enabling seamless payments for registrations, departmental fees, event tickets, and other campus-related transactions. He stressed that digitising these processes would eliminate suspicion, discourage fraud, and enhance the credibility of student leaders.
Ayomide called on student union governments nationwide to adopt the platform, urging leaders to embrace innovation and build systems that outlive their tenure. He emphasized that the future of campus governance lies in technology-driven solutions that prioritise structure, transparency, and accountability.
He also commended Paytogeda for partnering with NAPS, noting that the collaboration would help institutionalise trust and promote a culture of responsible leadership across polytechnic campuses in the country.
