The Christian film Agbara Nla has premiered in Abuja as its producers prepare for a nationwide cinema release scheduled for October 1, 2026.
The Friday premiere brought together members of the Christian community, invited guests, cast members and other members of the production crew, who shared their expectations for the film and its intended spiritual impact.
Co-director Damilola Mike-Bamiloye said the movie was produced to inspire faith, offer hope and communicate a message of deliverance to audiences.
He explained that the filmmakers intended to extend the film’s reach beyond cinema audiences by taking it to churches, schools and communities.
He said,“The cinema is the first start. Then from there, we plan by God’s grace to go to churches, communities, and schools.”
Mike-Bamiloye disclosed that the production team hoped to reach at least one million people through the project, noting that the eventual audience could exceed that target.
He said,“The aim is to win as many souls as we can through this film. I believe it could even be more than one million.”
Also speaking at the event, Pastor Philip Olubakin, one of the film’s cast members, expressed optimism that the production would encourage viewers to strengthen their relationship with God and renew their commitment to their faith.
According to him, the film is expected to inspire a deeper desire for God and encourage people to rediscover their spiritual purpose.
Olubakin further said the movie would emphasise the supremacy of Jesus’ power over all other powers.
He said,“I also think this movie is going to project that the power of Jesus indeed is supreme and superior to every other power in the world.”
With its planned nationwide cinema debut, the production team hopes to use Agbara Nla as a platform to reach a broader audience with its message of faith and spiritual renewal.
