The Nigeria Police Force has rescued Mrs. Olaide Busayo Adegoke John-Paul and her 12-year-old twin sons, Peter and Paul, during a late night operation conducted around 7:30 p.m. on Saturday, June 6, 2026.
Security sources disclosed that two suspected kidnappers were killed in a gun battle with police operatives during the rescue mission, while two firearms were recovered from the criminal gang.
The victims, the younger sister of former Minister of Power, Chief Adebayo Adelabu and her yeond sons, were abducted on June 3, 2026, while driving to drop the children at school.
According to police sources, sustained intelligence gathering and coordinated tactical operations mounted pressure on the kidnappers, forcing a confrontation that led to the successful rescue of the victims.
Security operatives have since intensified efforts to track down other members of the syndicate, some of whom reportedly escaped with gunshot wounds.
