The Oyo State chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has declared that President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has demonstrated the capacity, competence, and character required to lead Nigeria beyond 2027.
The party made this known in a congratulatory message marking the president’s 74th birthday, noting that his performance in the last 34 months has positioned him as the right leader to steer the country toward stability, growth, and prosperity. The APC also reaffirmed its commitment to Tinubu’s second-term bid and the full implementation of his Renewed Hope Agenda.
In a statement issued in Ibadan by the party’s Publicity Secretary, Olawale Sadare, the APC said although it refrained from elaborate celebrations in line with the president’s directive due to the current national mood, Nigerians still recognise his efforts at rekindling hope for a better future.
Meanwhile, the party dismissed circulating rumours about the emergence of candidates for the 2027 general elections, describing such claims as false and misleading. It warned those behind the reports to desist, stressing that no aspirant list exists at this stage and that investigations are ongoing to uncover those responsible for spreading the misinformation.
