The Speaker of the Oyo State House of Assembly, Adebo Ogundoyin, has lauded Muslim faithful across Nigeria and beyond for their steadfast spiritual commitment, discipline, and sacrifice during the just-concluded 30 day Ramadan fast.

In a goodwill message to mark the celebration of Eid al-Fitr, the Speaker described Ramadan as a sacred period of deep reflection, self-denial, and renewed devotion to Allah.
Ogundoyin noted that the successful completion of the fast underscores the resilience, faith, and dedication of the Muslim Ummah, commending adherents for upholding values that promote moral and spiritual growth.

He further praised Muslims for demonstrating patience, compassion, generosity, and unity throughout the fasting period, emphasizing that such virtues are vital for fostering peace, harmony, and social cohesion.
The Speaker urged Muslims to sustain these noble qualities beyond Ramadan, allowing them to shape their daily interactions and contributions to national development.

Highlighting the importance of supporting the less privileged, Ogundoyin stressed that the spirit of giving, which defines Ramadan, should remain a continuous practice and not be limited to the holy month.
While congratulating Muslims on witnessing another Eid celebration, he called on all citizens to uphold tolerance, mutual respect, and peaceful coexistence, irrespective of religious or ethnic differences.

Ogundoyin also reaffirmed the commitment of the Oyo State House of Assembly to enacting people-oriented legislation aimed at improving the welfare and well-being of residents, regardless of their religious, political, or social affiliations.
He concluded with prayers for Almighty Allah to accept the fasting, prayers, and supplications offered during Ramadan, and to grant lasting peace, progress, and prosperity to Oyo State and Nigeria at large.
