The Oyo State House of Assembly has joined well-wishers across the state and beyond to celebrate its Speaker, Adebo Edward Ogundoyin, on the occasion of his 39th birthday, describing him as a visionary leader whose tenure has elevated legislative governance and strengthened democratic institutions in the state.

In a statement issued by the Chairman, House Committee on Information, Media, ICT and Public Affairs, Hon. Waheed Akintayo, the Assembly commended Ogundoyin’s leadership style, noting that his stewardship has recorded significant gains in legislative practice, enhanced collaboration with other arms of government and improved public confidence in the legislature.
According to the statement, the Speaker’s tenure has been marked by landmark legislative achievements, improved inter-governmental cooperation and people-centred policies that have positively impacted constituents across Oyo State. The Assembly also acknowledged his role in promoting transparency, accountability and legislative independence, describing his contributions as pivotal to deepening democracy in the state.
Hon. Akintayo further highlighted Ogundoyin’s rare blend of youthful energy and administrative competence, saying it has not only inspired fellow lawmakers but also repositioned the Assembly as a progressive, responsive and forward-looking institution. He added that the Speaker’s skills, dedication and passion for service demonstrate an unwavering commitment to the growth and development of the Pace-Setter State.
The statement also praised his humility, accountability and ability to build consensus across political divides qualities it described as critical to the Assembly’s success and relevance in today’s governance landscape
Expressing optimism about the future, the Assembly said it is confident that greater accomplishments lie ahead under Ogundoyin’s leadership, praying for continued wisdom, strength and good health for the Speaker.
