Technology giant Meta has rolled out a suite of artificial intelligence (AI) tools aimed at strengthening user support and improving safety across its platforms, including Facebook and Instagram.
At the heart of the update is the Meta AI support assistant, now available globally. The tool offers round the clock assistance, helping users resolve account-related issues such as password recovery, privacy settings adjustments, and profile updates.
Meta said the assistant is designed to handle problems from start to finish, delivering practical solutions rather than generic suggestions. It can also assist users in reporting scams, impersonation accounts, and harmful content, while explaining reasons behind content removal and guiding users through appeal processes.
According to the company, the assistant responds in under five seconds—significantly reducing delays associated with traditional support systems.
Early user feedback has been largely positive, with Meta noting plans to expand the assistant’s capabilities to cover more account access scenarios and additional languages.
Beyond customer support, the company is also deploying advanced AI systems to tighten content moderation. These tools can reportedly block thousands of scam attempts daily, cut impersonation of high-profile accounts by over 80 percent, and detect a significantly higher volume of harmful content with fewer errors.
Meta added that its AI systems support 98 percent of languages used online and are capable of understanding cultural nuances, slang, emojis, and emerging digital trends.
Despite the expansion of AI, the company emphasized that human oversight remains critical. It noted that while AI will handle repetitive and fast-evolving threats, humans will continue to oversee sensitive and high-risk decisions.
With the integration of AI and human expertise, Meta says it is positioning its platforms to deliver faster support, curb harmful content, and enhance user confidence in the digital space.
