Numerous party loyalists from 11 wards in Egbeda Local Government Area of Oyo State have defected from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), All Progressives Congress (APC), and Labour Party to the African Democratic Congress (ADC) in Egbeda Constituency.
Addressing supporters, Oyo State ADC Chairman, Alhaji Yinka Olona, emphasized that the forthcoming election is not just a contest between parties, but between ADC and Nigerians, highlighting the party’s commitment to collective interests and aspirations.
The ADC governorship candidate, who defected from another party, cited the party’s people-centered ideology and inclusive governance as reasons for his move.
Defectors, speaking under the Coalition of Grassroots Democrats, Egbeda Chapter, cited marginalization and lack of representation in their former parties as reasons for joining ADC.
