Popular Nollywood actress, Faithia Williams, has officially resumed her professional engagements following the burial of her mother, turning her attention to the promotion of her debut cinema production, “Efunroye: The Unicorn.”

The historical film, slated for release on May 1, 2026, tells the story of Efunroye Tinubu, a renowned 19th-century Yoruba aristocrat and influential merchant whose legacy remains significant in Nigerian history.

In an emotional message shared on her Instagram page, Williams expressed gratitude to fans, colleagues, and well-wishers for the outpouring of support she received during her period of mourning. She described the past weeks as deeply challenging, noting, however, that her late mother has now been laid to rest peacefully.

The actress further revealed that a grand celebration of her mother’s life and legacy has been postponed until next year to allow for a more befitting tribute.
Reaffirming her commitment to her career, Williams said she is now focused on promoting “Efunroye: The Unicorn” and is open to collaborations and partnerships that will help expand the reach of the project.

She also extended appreciation to her supporters for their patience, encouragement, and unwavering love throughout her time of grief.
