The Edo State Government has directed the arrest and prosecution of students involved in a viral bullying incident at Igbinedion Secondary School, warning that such acts will not be tolerated.
The incident came to light after a video surfaced online showing two students assaulting a fellow student who was lying helpless on the ground, sparking outrage across social media.

Following the development, the school management expelled the students, while the state Commissioner for Information, Kassim Afegbua, disclosed on Sunrise Daily, a Channels Television programme, that the suspects and their parents have been invited by the police and will face prosecution.

Afegbua described the incident as worrisome and revealed that Governor Monday Okpebholo has ordered a full investigation, with a five-man committee already set up to probe the case and uncover other possible incidents of bullying in the school.
