Oyo State Governor, Seyi Makinde, has called for improved welfare for military personnel, citing their sacrifices in safeguarding lives and property.

He made the call on Friday during the Chief of Army Staff Special Sallah celebration with troops of the 2 Division, Nigerian Army, held at the Forward Operating Base in Igbeti, Olorunsogo Local Government Area of the state.

The governor commended the troops for their dedication, noting that their efforts have helped make Oyo State one of the safest in the country. He added that the relative peace being enjoyed has driven development across key sectors, including the economy, education, and healthcare.
